Hi! I am Stacey Plattenberger (she/her), and I am the sole owner and operator of Good Dog Go LLC. (est. 2013). I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Millersville University. I have worked professionally with dogs and cats since 1997 –  Kennel Technician, Grooming Bather/Brusher, Pet Store Retail, Veterinary Receptionist, Dog Trainer, Volunteer Coordinator, and of course, Dog Walker/Pet Sitter. In fact, my very first paid job at the age of 13, was walking a friend’s two Rottweilers (with my dad)! As a child, the highlight of my month was getting my copy of Dog Fancy Magazine and the highlight of my year was attending the National Dog Show. So yeah, I’m a lifelong dog nerd. But I also love cats (and rats) and my current companion animals are two senior cats.

I am a Fear-Free Certified Pet Sitter and a member of the Pet Professional Guild and Philadelphia Ethical Pet Professionals

I am a lifelong learner and I love reading about and attending webinars/classes to further my knowledge of animals, especially behavior and training. Additionally, I am passionate about human social justice issues. I believe that all sentient beings deserve respect and that colonialism and capitalism have created and uphold racist, sexist, homophobic, and ableist systems. Although they are separate, all forms of oppression and injustice must be acknowledged and actively challenged and dismantled. I challenge myself and others to be active in fighting against these systems in order to create a more equitable and compassionate world for all.
